Having been postponed in February following the coronavirus outbreak, the Pakistan Super League (PSL) came to a close yesterday, with Karachi Kings being crowned the champions. It was a superb and big moment for the team because not only was it their first-time taking the trophy home but it was also a well-deserved win considering the players lost their coach Dean Jones in September. Moreover, they won the match on their home ground! Karachi Kings, now coached by ace former cricketer Wasim Akram, defeated runner-up Lahore Qalandars by five wickets, with Babar Azam receiving the prize for the player of the match and tournament. Pakistani celebrities took to social media and congratulated the team on the whopping win!

It featured him cheering and shouting when Karachi Kings captain Imad Wasim finished off the match with an unexpected four. “KARACHI KINGS CHAMPIONS! YE HAI KARACHI! winning moments,” he posted on the photo-sharing platform.
