From Pakistan to Bollywood and even Hollywood, music maestro Rahat Fateh Ali Khan has left no stone unturned in his soaring career. His talent remains unmatched and there will never be another like him. The singer has a fan following in millions and adds a new achievement to his ever-shining cap every now and then. This time around is no different. Khan has become the first Pakistani artist to hit five million subscribers on YouTube. He has also secured the third spot in the race of subscribers in India, reported The Express Tribune. An overjoyed Khan shared the news on his Instagram handle.
He wrote, “5 Million Youtube Subscribers – Thank you for the Love and Support.” Previously, Khan was honoured with a doctorate degree in music by the United Kingdom’s leading educational institution Oxford University. At a lavish ceremony held in London on June 26, 2019, Khan was celebrated for his contributions towards music and promoting poetry around the world.
Last week, Khan landed himself in hot waters after reports claimed that he was once again being eyed by the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR). The tax collection authority has launched a probe into the income generated from Khan’s concerts abroad. The FBR has requested the aid of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) in order to assess Khan’s money trail. In a letter sent to FIA by the FBR, the former has been asked to provide Khan’s travel history for the last six years. As per the letter, details of Khan’s foreign trips from July 1, 2014, to date have been requested. “We haven’t received any notice from FBR as of yet. We are currently looking into the matter,” Khan’s manager Muhammad Amir said earlier.
