Actor Saba Qamar left millions of her fans heartbroken when she revealed she was ready to tie the knot with businessman Azeem Khan. The Baaghi star confirmed the news to leading publication The Express Tribune, saying, “Yes, I have found the person I’d like to settle down with. If everything goes well, I will be tying the knot very soon.” Fast forward one week and the Pakistani starlet has reportedly called it quits. Taking to her Instagram today, she shared a post which read, “Hi everyone! I have a very important announcement to make, due to a lot of personal reasons I have decided to call it off with Azeem Khan.”
Saba added, “WE ARE NOT GETTING MARRIED NOW. Hope you guys will support my decision just like you all have been supporting me always, and I guess it’s never too late to realise the bitter realities!”
She also revealed that she has never met Khan, and was only in touch with him over the phone. “I also wanted to clear ONE IMPORTANT thing that is: I have never met Azeem Khan in my life and we were only connected over the phone.” Saba requested her fans to keep her in their prayers. “It’s a very hard time for me right now but as we all know ‘this too shall pass’ Insha Allah. Much love to you all!”

In an earlier interview with the publication, Saba had also weighed in on her thoughts about marriage. “I have been single since 2011. The notion of love and romance these days is so flawed that it isn’t even worth considering. It’s a shame,” she said at the time. “I have been single and it has been quite a fulfilling journey. People have the impression that there’s a cue of suitors waiting to take me away but that isn’t true. I wish it was the case, but that’s painting too rosy a picture of my life,” Saba mentioned.
