After spending a long time in lockdown, Bollywood actress and the daughter of Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh – Sara Ali Khan stepped out for the first time after lockdown to meet and have a long chat with the director of her upcoming film Atrangi Re – Aanand L Rai. The actress ostensibly was waiting for her coronaries to function again after getting claustrophobic at home all these days due to the coronavirus scare and the subsequent 100 days in lockdown that India has been in.
Rai too has been waiting to bounce back after the debacle of his Shah Rukh Khan starrer Zero. Rai who has made two films in the Tanu Weds Manu series with Kangana Ranaut and the heart-wrenching Raanjhana with Sonam Kapoor and Dhanush earlier has got Akshay Kumar along with Sara in the film with Dhanush back in his lead actor role for the new film.

“Sara is rumoured to play a double role and a first look that was put out by his production house suggested that it could be a triangle like Raanjhana, keeping the viewers puzzled. Sara went to Aanand’s office early evening and came out after a long conversation with the director. They spoke on several points including certain intrinsic changes in the script as well keeping in mind the time frame of the film. While the script had been drafted also keeping Hrithik in mind, this one has been tweaked keeping in mind Akshay Kumar’s personality. So, Sara was made aware of all these changes too,” says a source.
Meanwhile, Sara Ali Khan is also very relieved that her film Coolie No 1 is not going on OTT. Earlier this week Monday when an OTT platform put out a poster stating that they will be having a huge set of films on the OTT platform one saw Varun’s photograph also there along with Alia Bhatt, Abhishek Bachchan, Ajay Devgn and Akshay Kumar. Immediately the internet was on fire saying that Varun’s Coolie No 1 would also be having a digital release. While the makers had categorically denied the same earlier, the news caught on.
Many of Varun’s fans, as well as Sara and her fans, were relieved after knowing that Varun was only hosting the event. Sara is a hardcore entertainer who has had a mix of some serious films like Kedarnath and Love Aaj Kal in between her Simmba and then Coolie No 1.
