When Shahid Kapoor tied the knot and was off the market five years ago, us girls had a hard time dealing but his marriage to Mira Rajput was a match made in heaven. We soon fell in love with her charming personality, her effortless style, her lovely smile and now, five years on; there’s no one we could imagine our Bollywood heartthrob with. The couple recently celebrated their five-year anniversary, and we must say, they are still oh so in love.
The couple, who are rather private about their relationship and their family life, have two children together and their happily ever after. Mira Kapoor has always been so supportive of her famed husband and she’s done a marvellous job at sustaining the marriage, despite having a famous husband. To mark their special day, the couple each took to their Instagram accounts and shared a loving note about their partners.
Shahid Kapoor shared a lovely selfie in which they are all smiles for the camera. “5 years. Gone by in a flash. Found beauty in the smaller things. Found happiness within not without. Found meaning to together we can,” he wrote in the caption accompanying the post. The actor went on to add, “Found myself a little more walking by your side my love. Thank you for being you. And thank you for helping me be a better me. Happy anniversary my love.”

Mira Kapoor too took to her Instagram account and shared a beautiful throwback picture of the two in what appears to be from some wedding festivities. Clad in a bright yellow ensemble, Mira Kapoor captioned her post, “5 years, 4 souls, 3 homes, 2 babies and 1 beautiful family. There’s nobody I’d rather be on this journey called life than you my love. I fall in love with you more every day. And I’m the luckiest girl in the world to have the love of my life be my best friend.”
If that wasn’t the sweetest post, she went on to add, “Thank you for everything, for being my strength and for walking through everything together, hand in hand. I love you. You make me laugh like no one else. And more often than not I’m laughing at you. Mira Kapoor also ended the note with a piece of advice for all her fans which added some humour to it. “Please don’t forget. Wife is always right. And the three golden words will always be “I am sorry”. To many more years of us.”
