Shamshera: Sanjay Dutt Returns To Film Set Amid Ongoing Cancer Treatment

Last month, Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt announced he would be taking a sabbatical from work to focus on his health. When news about the superstar being diagnosed with fourth-stage lung cancer made headlines, Sanjay’s fans and colleagues were left heartbroken. The actor was admitted to hospital following breathing issues a few days prior to the release of his Mahesh Bhatt-directed film Sadak 2. Following his diagnosis at a hospital in India, Sanjay immediately flew to the United States for treatment. Now, it appears that the actor is in good health after the completion of his first chemotherapy and has returned to his home country.

 

Meanwhile, it is being reported that Sanju flew back to India to shoot for the upcoming film Shamshera, in which Ranbir Kapoor will be playing the lead role. The film’s shooting was halted due to the coronavirus pandemic that took the world by storm. was put on hold owing to the ongoing pandemic. Due to the lockdown, Shamshera’s production was halted for six months, suffering the same fate as a handful of other Bollywood films.

A source informed Mumbai Mirror that Sanjay reported back to work at a city studio on Monday. The actor took the necessary precautions and followed the SOPs while he was on the sets. Speaking about the 61-year-old star’s mood on the sets, the insider said, “Sanjay looked happy to be back in action. Energetic and in high spirits, he reeled off one shot after another. It was evident from his attitude that he is going to face this crisis head-on, like the fighter that he is.” Earlier, when Sanjay made an official statement regarding his ailing health, he wrote on social media, “I am taking a short break from work for some medical treatment. My family and friends are with me and I urge my well-wishers not to worry or unnecessarily speculate. With your love and good wishes, I will be back soon.” We wish him the best health and speediest recovery!
