Shehzad Roy To Make Acting Debut In Alif Noon Remake

The first thing that comes to anyone’s mind when they hear Shehzad Roy’s name is his wide portfolio of evergreen songs including the likes of Dholna, Bewafa, Mukhra, Teri Soorat and many more. And the second thing has to be the fact that he never ages! The singer has undeniably made a huge name for himself in the world of music. And just when we thought his latest Instagram post would be about the upcoming release of yet another song, Roy’s fans cannot contain their excitement as he is all set to making his acting debut. Yes, you read that right!

He will be making his foray into acting with a forthcoming feature film. Adding further to the anticipation, Roy revealed that the project will be a reworked version of everyone’s favourite 1965 sitcom Alif Noon. He shared that actor and VJ Faisal Qureshi will be coming on board for a lead role too. Sharing a clip from the show, the Tera Mukhra singer penned, “Lots of issues triggered the song Laga Reh, Now this video explains why we. Faisal Qureshi and I, are making the movie Alif Noon.”

In the snippet, the lead actors of the show can be heard talking about inflation and the current situation of the country. He went on to add, “I am so excited to act in it. This issue is still hot and relevant.”

Kamaal Ahmed Rizvi essayed Allan in Alif Noon while Rafi Khawar played Nanha. The film will be written and directed by Qureshi. Known to address important and real-life issues through his songs, it seems like Roy will be doing the same on the big screen now. We cannot wait for the upcoming film, especially because it is loosely based on our all-time favourite Alif Noon, with just a few changes in the plot.
