The Neerja star has held her head up high and dealt with a fair share of struggles in the Indian film industry especially with matters related to the nepotism debate. But she has now had enough! Sonam recently took to her Instagram stories to expose a girl – an American-based influencer – who has been sliding into her DM’s every now and then and sending hate messages to her. Sonam posted a screenshot of the girl’s messages as well as her response to it. “This girl is an influencer in America and is saying the most vile things to me. Is this how people’s minds really work?” questioned the starlet.

She added, “Its awful and painful to hear things like this, to carry so much hate in their hearts must really damage them. Another reason they post this stuff I know is for attention and I’m unfortunately tagging her because I think by giving her something, she wants may make her kinder for one day to someone else.” Sonam tagged the user’s Instagram handle @stutilicious and penned a note alongside it. It read, “I hope you get followers through this post, as I know that’s what you wanted by my attention.” The girl name Stuti Shah not only directed her anger towards Sonam but to her father and actor Anil Kapoor as well. She had written, “You will probably not read this but shame on you. You talk fake shit about society and feminism. Women like you bring negativity to the society. You are nothing without your dad and I’m glad the Indian community in India as well as around the world is realizing it and now ignoring so-called actresses like you who do not even know how to act. Pure product of nepotism.” The said influencer also took a low blow at Sonam’s husband Anand Ahuja in the post.
