Sushant Singh Rajput was ‘brutally murdered’, family say

In developing news pertaining to the ongoing investigation into Sushant Singh Rajput death, the late actor’s family has issued a 9-page letter into the’slander campaign’ against them, reports Hindustan Times. The letter comes as a response to the editorial written by Shiv Sena’s Sanjay Raut in the party’s mouthpiece Saamna, where he pointed fingers at the Sushant’s relationship with his family.

The letter, which mentions Sushant and his sisters, read, “The first daughter had magic, someone came and took her away to a foreign country. The second one played for the national cricket team while the third one did a study on the law. The fourth daughter did a diploma in fashion designing. The fifth one was Sushant, who was ‘mannat’ of his mother. Whole life the family did not take anything from anyone, neither harmed anyone.”

The letter further went on to take a few jabs at relatives who are giving statements in regard to the late actor’s death. While the letter does not name Rhea Chakraborty or her family, it does talk about how Sushant was ‘brutally murdered’ and that ‘crooks trapped’ him. It also questioned how expensive lawyers are being hired in the case, wondering if they will ‘murder’ justice.

The family has said that they have not been given the opportunity to mourn as there were attempts to brand their son as a ‘mental patient’ and photos of his body were exhibited all over social media. The letter also alleged that the family was being threatened with mudslinging whereby it states, “‘You are not done killing Sushant, now you want to malign his memory too,” it read.

The MS Dhoni actor was found dead on the sixth-floor of his Bandra apartment in Mumbai on June 14, 2020. The 34-year-old actor was suffering from depression and was also undergoing treatment.
