Played as aliya alongside Bao (actor Imran Ashraf), Amar khan has not just been garnering massive love for her steller performance as an actor but also as a screenwriter. Yes, The Bailapur Ki Dayan actor is also not just a fine movie and a drama performer, she is a talented director as well as a screenwriter, that’s beauty with a multiverse of talents. Amar Khan Choice Of Roles Have Always Been Unconventional
A graduate in Film making from Beaconhouse University Lahore, Amar Khan started her film-making journey by making short films that got screened at major international forums. With a degree in filmmaking, she never thought of playing the roles herself until Chashm-e-Num happened. A short film on World’s Disability Day alongside actor Ahsan Khan got her into the acting arena. With her film-making course, she claims to be better than her peers when it comes to acting, and rightly so. Because be it her first supernatural drama Bailapur Ki Dayan where she essayed the role of a witch spirit Neelofar, that literally catapulted her acting career to new heights. After that, there was no looking back and in a short period, she got to play the difficult role of an abducted Hindu girl in the drama serial Ghughi who falls in love with a Muslim man played by Adnan Siddiqi. Amar Khan proved her versatility in the same year when she made an episodic appearance in the anthology drama Ustani Jee.
 She later appeared as Ayeza in Sadia Jabbar’s Dil-e-Bereham opposite Wahaj Ali. Her other appearances include Zeena (a woman with an inferiority complex) in Angeline Malik’s miniseries Choti Choti Batain and Abdullah Kadwani’s Dil-e-Gumshuda as antagonists. Her performance as Alizeh was highly appreciated by the critics. Amar plays the role of Alizey with a certain earnestness that was required to bring the complex character to life.
Her Stint As Screenplay Writer Catapulted Her To New Heights
The recently released movie Dum Mustam which stars Amar Khan and Imran Ashraf has been garnering all the praises for impressive performances and some great music. But did you know Amar Khan is also the screenwriter of the movie and has done quite a phenomenal job? The film nevertheless offers an interesting story with ample drama, emotions, and importantly, a heart and has been made with sincerity. For that, it is worth a watch.
As a screenwriter, Amar Khan has written projects that have been massively appreciated by critics. Projects like Akkad Bakkad, Azad Maasi, Black Wednesday, Dard-e-Dil, Chashm-e-Num, n Black Friday. One of her projects Black Friday which was written on the APS school incident got a much deserved first award in the peace category at the International Film Award. The movie was also premiered at the American Film Showcase.
