The Trailer For Usman Mukhtar’s Gulabo Rani Is Out Now And It’s Spine-Chilling At Best

The short horror movie is all set to grace your screens in July!
Horror Genre is something that our entertainment industry has less treaded upon which is why we don’t get to see much of dramas or movies around it. And even if we see some horror projects here and there, they just don’t hit the mark. This is why the much-loved actor/director Usman Mukhtar has taken matters into his own hands and came up with the first short horror movie Gulabo Rani.
The actor just dropped its trailer and let us tell you it was spine-chilling at best.
Under their banner Eastern Terrestrial Studios which was formed in April, the brother duo Usman Mukhtar and Meiraj Haq released the 30 minutes short horror movie. The film has been directed by Mukhtar and written by Ali Mudar and Mukhtar’s wife Zunaira Inam Khan. Riding on the back of the horror-thriller genre, the film is inspired by true events. Not much is said or revealed in Gulabo Rani’s trailer, which only adds to the thrill of what the short film will hold.
The trailer starts with the tagline “The main work of haunting is done by the living.” By Judith Richardson. The movie starts with perhaps a senior pranking a freshie that the university he has been enrolled in is around 150 years old. The following scenes of the trailer give a very eerie, spooky feel while the background scene adds a whole new level of thrill and suspense.  Will it be a perhaps a story that starts with ghastly ragging that turns into a psychological trauma or is way more sinister than that? Only we will get to know in July.
The cast includes a very enticing mix of young actors, namely Usama Javed Haider, Meiraj Haq, Danial Afzal, Natasha Ejaz, and Omer Abdullah. Khushhal Khattak has a special appearance. Ali Mudar, who has earlier written Usman’s award-winning short Bench, has also written the film along with This Millenial Rants. The film has songs by Natasha Ejaz, Nimra Gilani, and MRKLE.
Talking to the media about his short horror movie Gulabo Rani, Director and actor Usman Mukhtar said that “I have always loved acting but it was about time I went behind the screen and took charge of the camera. Producing and directing Gulabo Rani was a great experience, and working with these young ones was another level of fun altogether.”
If you look at the YouTube page of production house Eastern Terrestrial Studios, the audiences are already thrilled and excited about the upcoming horror movie. The positive comments are pouring in and we really hope the movie does superbly well at the box office opening more filmmakers to move to the horror genre.
