This is what Sonya Hussyn thinks of the Ertugrul debate

If you’ve been anywhere near social media, you would have seen the ongoing debate surrounding Pakistani stars and their desire or lack thereof, for International stars entering their territory. Following the famed Turkish drama serial, Ertugrul, the Turkish stars of the show have gained much momentum and quite the fan following in Pakistan. So much so that both the leading actors, Engin Altan Duzyatan and Esra Bilgic have scored projects with different brands in the country.

Actors like Yasir Hussain, Bilal Ashraf and Anoushey Ashraf have all commented on the stars making their mark in Pakistan with some all for it and others disapproving of the fact that international stars will now be taking the limelight. And now actor Sonya Hussyn has jumped on the bandwagon to add her two cents to the mix.

Sonya Hussyn, who is an avid user of social media, took to her Instagram shared a story in which she is addressing the ongoing debate pertaining to the importance these Trukish actors have been given in Pakistan. Sonya Hussain took a different approach to the continuous slander these actors have been receiving and also the counter-slander that our very own actors receive. “Sick of this Ertugtul debate,” she wrote.

“Meherbani karkay jaan bakhsh dejiye, Turkish adakaron ki bhi, or apnay adakaron ki bhi. (Kindly leave them alone, both the Turkish actors and the Pakistani actors),” she added. She further went on to urge her followers to “learn to appreciate and not degrade,” further requesting them to be kind, have grace and speak love. We think the starlet has taken the correct approach and everyone should be more kind and accepting.
