Three Beauty Looks To Try This Eid

Eidul Azha is around the corner and it comes at a time when we’re all in need of a much-needed break. We’ve all been indoors for quite some time now and while many parts of the world have started opening, it’s been better to stay safe than sorry. Working from home has had a toll on many of us and life isn’t quite the same. Eid however, is a time that has some normalcy for us and it is something that we can all relate to. We’ll be spending time with our families, feasting on delicious food and taking stock of what the rest of the year has to offer.

While many of us have spent the last few weeks sans makeup, lounging on our sofas in nothing but loungewear and athleisure, now might be a good time to get our festive gear on and finally make use of our makeup palettes and untouched lipsticks. To give you some motivation to get up and dress up this Eid, we’ve rounded up some fabulous beauty looks to try this Eid. Why not try a different one for each day?

Bronzed Beauty

A classic eye makeup look that goes with just about everything is a shimmery bronze eyelid. This look goes with just about anything, be it desi or western and is the perfect look to try this Eid. If you are yet to decide your Eid look or are waiting for your outfit to arrive, a bronze eye makeup look is your best bet because it will match any outfit. It goes with pastels, with golds, with darker hues and even summer whites. If you’re opting for a bronzed look, then you can couple it with a pretty eyeliner and a thick coat of mascara, This will make your eyes pop like no other look. Finish off the look with bronzed cheeks and a glossy lip.

Glossy cherry lips

A few years ago, this trend was all the rage. But we are of the opinion that a bold, cherry lip can never go out of style. This beauty look is going to work well if you’re wearing a light colour this Eid. It will most certainly make you stand out from your friends and family this Eid but only if it is done correctly. If you’re opting for a bold cherry lip, then know that it will become the focal point of your look because it is such a statement look. If you’re going for a bold cherry lip, then ensure that the rest of your makeup look is kept simple. Instead of going all out with your eye makeup, opt for a simple eyeliner and mascara and some shimmer on your cheek bones. Line your lips well as darker coloured lip colours have the tendency to seep through. Blot your lips between coats and finish off with a setting spray!

Shocking eyeshadow

You have to be a little more daring to try this trend and it’s not at all easy for everyone to pull off. It requires a bold eyelid topped with a bright and bold hue. Think oranges, pinks, blues and yellows. This makeup look has also been termed “shock shadow” and consists of one bold colour, neon or metallic, washed over your lid until it is completely opaque. That’s literally all it is. Keep the rest of your look simple. If you’re wearing a bold colour this Eid, this may not be the best look to try as it could clash with your look. But works well if you are using the same colour as your outfit or have a plain outfit which is topped off with a pop of colour on your eyelids! Opt for a nude lip and you’ll leave heads turning this Eid.
