Three Men Arrested In Salman Khan Death Threat Row. Here’s Why The Actor Is Being Targeted

Celebrities – especially big names and those who hold a massive fan following – are almost always in the public eye. Death threats, endless trolling and the intrusion of their private spaces is not uncommon either. But its all a part and parcel of their job and unfortunately, they have to live with it. Superstar Salman Khan has become victim of the same. The actor has been at the receiving end of several death threats following his alleged involvement in the 1998 blackbuck killing case in Jodhpur. In a latest development, three men have now been arrested by the Indian police for allegedly planning to murder the Dabangg actor in light of the same, reported The Indian Express.

The first of the accused is a sharpshooter of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang who has now been put behind bars. The gunman, who was previously said to be involved in the murder of a Faridabad resident in June this year, had plans to brutally target Salman this time around. According to the police, he had already conducted a recce in Mumbai on Bishnoi’s directions earlier this year.

Lawrence Bishnoi is currently in a Rajasthan prison and is part of the Bishnoi community. Both, the community and Lawrence have long held animosity for Salman since the blackbuck hunting case. “During questioning, it has emerged that Rahul had travelled to Mumbai in January to conduct a recce for the murder of Salman Khan. He went to the actor’s house in Bandra for the purpose and stayed in the area for two days,” said Rajesh Duggal, DCP (Headquarters). “He conducted this recce at the behest of Bishnoi and Sampat Nehra, another member of the gang, who had also conducted a recce to plan for the same crime before he was arrested in June 2018,” he added. Nehra had been arrested from Hyderabad for supposedly plotting Salman’s murder following strict instructions from Lawrence. Salman has been sentenced to five-years imprisonment in the blackbuck hunting case but is out on bail. The police has now beefed up security for the Bollywood star.
