Three ways to style your swim suit for when we can head to the beach

We’re in the midst of summer and we’re dreaming of being on the sandy shore and swimming in the ocean, far far away on a tropical island. The pandemic however, has meant that all leisurely travel has come to a halt and we’ve been confined to our homes, forced to social distance and stay put this summer. It hasn’t been a great year and we’re hoping for things to settle so we can start planning a proper vacation.

Our dream vacation wardrobe has been put on hold and we can’t wait to wear our summer dresses, coord sets and that gorgeous swimsuit that we had saved up for summer 2020. And while our summer plans are on hold, we can still plan our vacay outfits. We rounded up a few different ways you can style your swimsuit and we can’t decide which one we love best.

With a sarong wrap

Throwing a lovely lightweight fabric wrap around your swimsuit is a great way to up the style quotient if you’re planning to sit by the pool or beach and sunbathe. Opt for a bright coloured wrap or one that is adorned with a pretty print to brighten the mood. A printed wrap will work especially well if you have a plain swimsuit.

With a shirt dress

Probably our favourite look from all the different ways in which you can style your swimsuits is the shirt dress. Preferably opt for a shirt dress in a crisp white colour and one that also is a button down so you can button up whenever you’re heading back to your hotel room. This look is effortless and chic and can be worn opened or closed. It’s especially great if you have a bright coloured two piece so you can show off your toned tum at the same time. Team the look with a straw hat, dark sunnies and the perfect poolside flats and you’ll be good t go for an afternoon of fun in the sun.

With a pair of palazzos

Get that easy breezy summer time look with a pair of printed palazzos. These are lightweight, comfortable and chic and you can jump from one poolside activity to another while wearing these. They look sophisticated and are also a versatile piece. If you don’t want to cover up completely they can be worn with just your bikini top on top and alternatively if you want to feel more covered up, pair your palazzos with a white tee or a vest top and you’ll leave heads turning on the poolside and beyond.
