Three ways to wear the tie & dye trend

As we kick started the year 2020, a number of trends were making their way straight from the fashion week ramps to the highstreet and our Instagram news feeds. From square-toed heels, to over the top Victorian era sleeves, to feminine dresses to chunky boots and shoes worn over pants, to quirky prints and tie and dye, 2020 would have been quite the year for fashion had it not been for the Coronavirus pandemic.

While our attempts to have the most fashionable year yet may be in vain, there has been a shift in the way we are now dressing and we have all found comfort in loungewear and more laidback styles as we have stayed indoors for months and many of us still continue to work from home. One style that we find is an amalgamation of comfort and style is the tie and dye trend which is making waves this season. And with that being said, we rounded up three different ways to rock the tie and dye trend.

As a set

Tie and dye co-ord sets have become widely available online. Why wear just a tie and dye tee when you can have a matching set. This will half the time you take to decide what to wear and in possibly the most comfortable thing to opt for while at home. Tie and dye sets come in a variety of colours so why not have some fun with your style, even if you’re staying indoors. You can always look good for that video call!

Bag Trends That Will Take You Through to Next Season

With a pair of light washed denim jeans

Okay, we admit we haven’t slipped into a pair of jeans in weeks, but we still need to go out for that grocery run. So why not make that extra effort and team your tie and dye tee or sweatshirt with a pair of light washed denim jeans and you’ll be all set for that grocery run, especially if you happen to bump into a friend. While the look is laid back and relaxed, you’ll still look like you made a tad bit of an effort.

With a plain vest top

Who said you have to restrict your tie and dye to the top half? Instead, opt for tie and dye sweatpants in a bright bold colour and team it with a plain tank top for that extra added oomph. The sweatpants can then also be styled with a tee or a hoody later on.

Tie and dye is surely one way to elevate your style this season while staying in line with this year’s trends.
