Tinkay Ka Sahara Episode 11: Conditions Take a Dire Turn for Sami Khan’s Wasay

“Tinkay Ka Sahara” has been somewhat unclear up until now in regards to where the story is headed exactly.  However, with episode 11, the story takes strides forward, slightly begins to emerge from the shroud of misery and has put the audience on track, heading in a fairly evident direction.  Starring Sami Khan, Rubab Hashim, Sonya Hussyn, Haroon Shahid, Ayesha Toor, Adnan Jaffar, Sana Askari and others, the story of Tinkay Ka Sahara has been written by Zanjabeel Asim and directed by Zeeshan Ahmed.  Recently, we’ve become fairly accustomed to Zanjabeel Asim scripts taking a turn for the worse and hurting our hearts – and the same has happened with “Tinkay Ka Sahara.”  However, this time, the misery did not last for too long, dragged out unnecessarily, before the audience is now able to see the positives slowly peeking out.

In episode 11, Qadr’s (Sonya Hussyn) evil Bhabi, played by Sana Askari, is taking full advantage of Qadr.  Qadr is expected to work like a machine, not only running her catering business only to have all her money hoarded by Bhabi and Hammad’s (Haroon Shahid) brother, but also forced to work in the house without any rest.  Fortunately, her mother-in-law (Saba Faisal) takes notice.  This is a much awaited moment, for this heartbroken mother to finally snap to her senses and realize Qadr is an innocent.  There is still a lot of work to be done, but at least Qadr’s worth is finally being noticed and her mother-in-law’s heart is softening.  It’s nice to see that this character has been acting out of depression, mourning and fear and now, with time passing, she’s coming back into her senses.  In the coming episodes, we will see Qadr begin to reconnect and reassure her that she will support her through her old age.  This is the support that Qadr needs as well, emotionally, so hopefully this bond will be restored sooner than later.

Meanwhile, Duriya (Rubab Hashim) has found her heart softening towards Wasay (Sami Khan) again after meeting him in jail.  Rubab is a genuine empath, a person who cares deeply for those in her life – and while her relationship with Wasay has never been a good one, she can genuinely see the change in him.  Wasay has always been an angry man, a man who could not control his emotions, but his time in jail has changed his demeanor, shaken his belief in himself and brought humility in him, something which life teaches us when we’re down.  Unfortunately, while Duriya may be ready to forgive and give her marriage another chance, Wasay is sentenced to death.

Sonya Hussyn and Rubab Hashim are the stars of this episode, two women struggling with different versions of the same problem.  Ayesha Toor also does a great job.  At this point, we can see where this drama is headed.  Potential spoilers ahead:  in the early 2000s, there was a Bollywood film titled “Dor.”  This film focused on two women, with one’s husband accidentally murdering the husband of the other.  The murderer’s wife seeks out the second woman to request her to sign the death penalty pardon and a friendship is formed in the process.  This is a concept that worked very well for a film.  And now that it’s playing out on our television screens, it appears to be faring even better for television.  With such a great team of actors, it will be wonderful to see this emotional drama play out.
