UAE COVID-19 Vaccine: Here Is Where You Can Get It In Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah And Others

The Covid-19 outbreak caused a major setback in the lives of people around the globe. As health experts and scientists’ world over worked tirelessly towards the development of an effective cure to the deadly and contagious infection, the first to gain approval was the Pfizer and BioNtech-created vaccine in the United Kingdom. In the United Arab Emirates, the China-developed Sinopharm vaccine underwent three trial phases and was tested on more than 31,000 individuals before finally making its way to clinics and hospitals in all the emirates. The voluntary vaccination programme kicked off several days ago in Abu Dhabi and has now been extended to Dubai and the Northern Emirates, with residents now permitted to register for a free vaccination if they wish to get one, reported Time Out Dubai.

The Sinopharm vaccine requires two injections administered 21 days apart and has shown 86% efficacy in combating the novel coronavirus infection.
