Ace musician Ali Zafar dropped his own rendition of the evergreen naat Balaghal Ula Be Kamalihi earlier this week. While he received ample praise for the soothing yet powerful execution, hearing-impaired vlogger Hassan Ahmad was quick to release his version of the renowned kalaam in sign language. In a clip uploaded on his Instagram handle, Ahmad can be seen explaining the lyrics with in-depth expressions. “Balaghal Ula Bi Kamaalehi naat by Ali Zafar in sign language. I really felt overwhelmed and honoured by doing this in sign language,” he captioned the post.
The Channo singer unveiled his music video for Balaghal Ula Be Kamalihi on Tuesday. The clip starts off with a picturesque view of the beautiful Badshahi Mosque – one of the oldest historic sites of Pakistan. With the mosque in the background, Zafar can be seen reciting the kalaam in full fervour, just before sunrise strikes. A group of qawwals and instrumentalists can also be seen in the backdrop.

When Zafar shared the naat with his fans, he wrote, “I hope it gives you the peace while listening to it that it brought to my heart while rendering it. Balaghal-Ula Bi-Kamalihi is a Pakistani qawwali most notably performed by the late Sabri Brothers, Ghulam Farid Sabri (1930-1994) and Maqbool Ahmed Sabri (1945-2011).” In a previous post, he had penned, “I cannot express the feeling while recording this. Last year, Zafar released Hamd-o-Naat, which was also lauded by music listeners and critics alike. He had posted, “I was blessed to visit Makkah and Medina. What I experienced there cannot be described in words. A part of that I have tried to express in this Hamd-o-Naat.”
