The motion poster of the first feature film “Nayaab” has just been released.
As 2022 ends on a great note for the Pakistani film fraternity with back-to-back blockbusters, year 2023 starts with a great news likewise. With movies like The Legend Of Maula Jatt, Kamli and London Nahi Jaunga, Pakistan cinema is reviving and making its own identity. Pakistan is all set to witness its first feature film “Nayaab”. Starring actor Yumna Zaidi, theatre actor Fawad Khan and Javed Sheikh in the lead roles, Nayaab just released its first motion picture.
From the motion poster it looks like “Nayaab” will be a movie based on cricket and Yumna Zaidi will be the protagonist. Yumna Zaidi has already proved her mettle by acting in dramas that have substance e.g. her recent in Bakhtawar and Parizaad to name a few. Her recent drama serial Tere Bina alongside Wahaj Ali is gaining massive viewership worldwide. M Fawad Khan will be playing alongside Yumna Zaidi in the movie. Not to be confused with namesake from The Legend Of Maula Jatt, M Fawad Khan is a theatre actor who has appeared in several television dramas like Piyari Bitto apposite Sania Saeed and web series Churails, Aik Jhooti Lovestory and Qatil Hassenaon Kai Naam. The movie also features Javaid Sheikh in a significant role though his role is yet to be revealed.
Yumna Zaidi shared the poster on her Instagram handle and said, Immensely excited to share the Title motion poster of my first feature film for Pakistan “NAYAB”, the idea and making is so close to my heart ….. sharing it with all of you.”
The motion poster shows a bat and ball and one can hear Yumna Zaidi’s voice saying “Aqa tum daikhna aik din pori duniya ko kahte suno gai, naam yaad rakhna.”, “You will see, one day everyone around the world is going to chant my name. do remember the name.”
The Movie is written by Ali Abbas Naqvi who is also the writer of Laal Kabootar and Basit Naqvi. The movie will be directed by Umair Nasir Ali. David Kenney and Agnes Kenney of the Kenneys holding will be the executive producers of the movie in collaboration with the NUM Films.
