Dananeer Mobeen became an internet sensation overnight, following her viral yet catchy ‘pawri’ video that took news headlines by storm last month. She came into the spotlight after posting the video clip whilst on a trip with her friends, resulting in the same being adapted by celebrities from Pakistan and India. Stars uploaded their versions of Dananeer’s video on their respective social media accounts, catapulting her to fame in a jiffy. But what no one knew until now was that Dananeer’s one and only inspiration was Bollywood Bebo Kareena Kapoor Khan, reported Bollywood Hungama.
While speaking to the publication, Dananeer, who was recently announced brand ambassador for the Pakistan Super League team Peshawar Zalmi, shared that she holds Kareena’s character Poo from Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham very close to her heart. “I think not just me but the entire world can relate to Poo. I feel I personally relate to Poo at times. So, I’ll just be sitting with friends and they’ll say something like ‘Okay! So, we’re going to watch a movie’ and I’ll be like, ‘Tell me how it was!’” she laughed.
She then admitted that there is element of Poo in the ‘Pawri girl’. Dananeer said,“Poo I think humare andar bas gayee hai (Poo is deeply entrenched in all of us). So, in anything that you do, it’s the sass that Poo has that comes out.” The starlet then responded to the videos uploaded by Bollywood celebs including Randeep Hooda, Shahid Kapoor, Juhi Chawla and star couple Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh. “It was so beautiful to see her hopping on to the trend. She is such a legend,” she said, while speaking about Juhi. Randeep’s video saw a bevy of children appearing in the clip. “It’s overwhelming to see such a wholesome video, with kids and all joining in on the trend,” exclaimed Dananeer. While she said she was “hyperventilating” when she saw Shahid’s video, her response to Ranveer’s clip was, “I was like this is probably fake right. I was in disbelief when I saw the video. It was unreal. I was blown out of my mind. He is such a legend. Everyone loves him here, especially me.”
