The Coronavirus pandemic confined us all to our homes with little to do other than work from home and binge-watch all our favourite shows on Netflix. With time however, we saw everyone get creative, be it with their meals, their workouts and their beauty and skin care routines. We saw all the Tik Tok challenges we needed to see, all the styling videos and all the things in between. We even saw a number of haircare videos with homemade hair masks and lots of new styles that we still haven’t managed to try.
It appears that Maya Ali too has been practicing some hairstyles in quarantine and now that lockdown is over and everyone is ready to head out, Maya Ali is ready to strut her stuff. The actress, who is an avid user of social media has amassed a huge number of followers, in millions and has an impressionable audience who loves to see her style. She loves to share glimpses of her life with her followers and often takes to the gram to share pictures of herself in some of the most covetable outfits. Each post leaves fans in a frenzy and her recent post received hundreds of thousands of likes.
In a recent post, Maya Ali has shared a picture of herself in which she is sporting the coolest braids and we want to steal the look stat. Maya Ali can be seen sporting two side braids and a black tee as she snaps a mirror selfie. She is also adding a pop of colour to her look with her bright pink pout. If you want to steal her look, read on because we show you just how to recreate these braids at home.
The first step to creating this look is to part your hair in the middle and all the way down the back. You will now have two bunches of hair on either side of your head. Start at the top of your head and create three sections on one side of your head and start braiding the hair close to your scalp. Braid all the way down your scalp and then follow through down the rest of your hair. Repeat the same step on the other side with the rest of your hair until you have two equal braids.
To finish the look and put flyaways to rest, you can use some wax or gel and tame the extra hair that may be flying out of your braids.
