Ghisi Piti Mohabbat Episode 22: Ali Abbas’s Basharat Becomes Another Unfaithful Husband for Samia

“Ghisi Piti Mohabbat” continues to move closer to a winding-up point and, unlike many other shows, has maintained its pace and audience interest throughout. The story has been written by Fasih Bari Khan and the show has been directed by Ahmed Bhatti. Ramsha Khan, Ali Abbasi, Saba Faisal, Samina Ahmed, Javeria Abbasi and others star in major roles. While the show tackles real-life problems that are serious, the overall feel of the show is light-hearted and does not bog the audience down with sadness – even when the present situation is grim. Now with the lead, Samia, on her third marriage, will this be the happy ending she has been waiting for?

The majority of episode 22 focuses on the aftermath of Salman’s death. Basharat (Ali Abbas) and Batool (Javeria Abbasi) are distraught by Salman’s passing. While Batool is his mother, Basharat has also raised Salman as his own son and is equally as broken over his death. Basharat is, more than anything, left beating himself up over his harsh words towards Salman and how the two never really got along. Basharat and Batool have always shared a strong relationship, but these dire circumstances push the two to bond further, as they recognize that no one can understand what they are going through but the other. Viewers can really feel Batool’s pain and sympathize with her circumstances. She is a widow who has lost her son and has no one to grieve with except for her younger, married brother-in-law. But at what point does this bond turn into disloyalty? At the end of the day, Basharat is a married man, a man who promised happiness to Samia, and he is now failing at that promise – and is becoming yet another villain in Samia’s life. Can their behavior be excused because they are grieving? Life creates strange situations and this situation is certainly believable and even understandable. But is it excusable? Ali Abbas and Javeria Abbasi are both doing a wonderful job in their respective roles, even if their track is taking a queasy turn.

Samia (Ramsha Khan) may be brash, outspoken and confident, but it’s clear that she’s putting her all into her marriage with Basharat, unwilling to see her third marriage fail. She genuinely loves this man and feels that this is her chance at happiness, but when she sees his drastic change in attitude towards her, she is visibly concerned – and rightly so. She is now balancing her emotions, trying to be supportive of her grieving husband while also fighting the green-eyed monster as she sees him spending more time with Batool. She also feels the distance between them, struggling to understand how Salman’s death has changed her relationship with Basharat. Ramsha Khan continues to be the star player of “Ghisi Piti Mohabbat.” She is surrounded by an incredibly talented cast and still manages to keep the focus (rightfully) on her.

Ghisi Piti Mohabbat Episode 20: Javeria Abbasi Steals the Limelight As Batool

Asmara (Aliha Chaudhry) and Shoaib’s (Abul Hassan) relationship takes a turn for the better as Shoaib agrees to seek professional help on his mother’s suggestion. Asmara also finally bends and admits to Shoaib that she loves him and the two share a positive moment. Abul Hassan is an underrated performer. Things are only going to get worse for Samia now as Basharat informs Batool of his regret that he didn’t look within his own home before getting married. Episode 22 has been one of the more serious episodes of the show and while it is a good one in terms of performance, one hopes the proceedings take a lighter note in upcoming episodes.
