Several Pakistani films have received the international stamp in the past, be it bagging awards at film fests or being screened globally. The latest blockbuster to conquer foreign waters is Haseeb Hassan’s Parwaaz Hai Junoon. Produced by Momina Duraid and written by Farhat Ishtiaq, the 2018 aerial combat-war film made waves at the domestic box office, raking in a total of Rs43 crore following a successful run at theatres across the country. Now, the Hamza Ali Abbasi and Ahad Raza Mir-starrer will be the first Pakistani project to release in Chinese mainland cinemas after 40 years.
