Shaan Shahid Pens Song For Pakistan: Here’s A Glimpse

Shaan Shahid is a true patriot at heart and more than often, his love for his homeland Pakistan shows through his work, if not his Twitter posts. The actor has starred in several nationalistic films including Waar and Yalghaar among others. This time around, the actor uploaded a snippet of ace musician Shafqat Amanat Ali singing an upcoming song Shaan has written for the country. Breaking the news on Twitter, the Khuda Kay Liye actor wrote, “The love for Pakistan runs in my veins. It mixes in the ink of my pen and spreads in the voice of our legends.” His post came as a breath of fresh air for his followers who cannot wait for the single to release now!

 

 

“A love song for the country written by #shaanshahid and sung by #shafqatAmanatAli coming soon,” Shan added, revealing the song’s title, Tairay Ishq Dai Char Gaye Rang Watna. Responding to his post, one fan question Shaan about “state employed ideas to match framed ideology.” The actor replied with, “The love for the motherland is not framed. To bring the passion of patriotism in the youth is not alluring them but bringing the fire back in their hearts by the power of music and poetry. The state of Pakistan wants each of us to be a Pakistani, not slaves. Respect our own.”

Promoting Pakistani talent including yesteryear artists, Shaan paid tribute to renowned singer Abida Parveen in another Twitter post today. Describing Parveen as the “voice of the Sufis of Pakistan”, he requested his fans to respect iconic artists. “Politics has taken our ears, eyes, mind, heart and our unity. We must disengage from the hatred of politics and start loving all that is Pakistan. our artists our legends they will never be with us again in a billion years,” he wrote. A strong supporter of PM Imran Khan’s PTI government, Shaan earlier made a few comments on how the content being produced on TV should be controlled. “Either he can stitch #Pakistan back, or he can fight battles with people,” he said about Khan, adding that the premier should be given enough time to prove himself. “I am not from PTI or any other political party. The race is not yet finished. Give him (Imran Khan) enough time to prove himself.” As a Pakistani, I feel that this (PTI government) is the last hope for democracy in the country.”
