Yun Tu Pyar Hai Bohut Episode 11: Zain and Aima’s “Love Story” Takes A Backseat

“Yun Tu Pyar Hai Bohut” airs on Hum TV twice a week, on Monday and Tuesday, telling the story of a young couple separated due to their different approaches towards life. This drama stars Affan Waheed, Hira Mani, Maryam Mirza, Javed Sheikh, Sabeena Syed, Nadia Hussain and others in lead roles. The story has been written by Aliya Bukhari while the drama has been directed by Kashif Saleem In recent episodes, we’ve seen Zain and Aima’s breakup and how it has affected both characters negatively – but particularly Zain, who is seen as a loyal, committed partner.

In episode 11, the love story in “Yun Tu Pyar Hai Bohut” has taken a backseat with Aima and Zain in different cities – and this works in the show’s favor, as the side stories are honestly much more interesting. In Lahore, we continue to follow Zain (Affan Waheed) and his interactions with Maqsood (Fawad Jalal) and Deeba, an incredibly sweet and endearing couple that has a shroud of doom surrounding them. Deeba and Maqsood, along with their young son, have become family to Zain, Deeba even recording a song with Zain, which we all now will be a surfire hit, a song that will make Zain’s career take off. And yet, Maqsood and Deeba’s past continues to haunt them as Maqsood is confronted by an old “friend” from their village. Maqsood and Deeba’s story has a hauntingly “Sairat”/”Dhadak” (Malayalam/Bollywood film) sort of feel to it and the audience gets the feeling their story may end in tragedy. This would be unfortunate, because these are characters with a large likability factor.

Back in Karachi, Aima (Hira Mani) as come into her own as a lawyer. Aima is an absolute pain to watch as a romantic partner, literally defining “the worst” in her behavior towards Zain – and yet, her behavior being understandable due to her past experiences with men (specifically her father). But Aima’s relationship with her boss (Kaiser Khan Nizamani) is quite endearing. Aima receives the sort of support from her boss that she wishes she had received from her own father and he, in turn, has proved to be a protector, coming to her rescue in saving her family’s home. Aima is proving her worth as a lawyer, befriending Noor (Komal Rizvi) in the process as the two work together helping women. This brings Aima in direct contact with Roohi (Nadia Hussain), a woman who is clearly her enemy. Roohi’s behavior doesn’t really make any sense, as Mohsin (Javed Sheikh) left his wife for her and never really looked back. Why is Roohi so hostile?

There’s also a storyline with Aima’s sister Nazia falling for her boss, which is interesting, but one has to wonder where it’s heading. It’s honestly refreshing to see Zain’s reaction towards Sonia (Sabeena Syed) and how he turns down her advances each time, proving that he’s a genuine guy. Overall, “Yun Tu Pyar Hai Bohut” is one of those shows that isn’t exactly engrossing, but it has some very interesting characters and fits into the “guilty pleasure” category. It’s meaningful enough to keep the audience engaged, but light-hearted enough to be a stress-free watch. Affan Waheed, Fawad Jalal and the actress playing Deeba are the performers who really stand out this week – and generally, because Zain, Maqsood and Deeba are all very likable characters. It will be interesting to see how their stories play out.
