If you’ve been anywhere near social media the past few weeks, you would have seen that Esra Bilgic has been creating quite the buzz. Known for playing the titular role in the famed Turkish drama series, Ertugurul, Esra Bilgic has gained quite the fan following. Not only is she commended for her stellar acting skills, but also for her effortless and alluring beauty. She truly is a class apart and we’ve been scrolling through her Instagram account for weeks on end, for inspo of course!
From her looks in all black, to those power suits and statement sleeves, this actress sure knows how to leave heads turning. With minimal effort, this diva knows how to make the maximum statement and the same can be said for her makeup looks which are often subtle yet sultry, natural yet alluring. And with that being said, here’s a look you should take inspiration from for your next makeup look! (even if you are just lounging in your pj’s and staying indoors!)
This look requires a completely natural base and nothing too cakey. Prep your skin, as you would, with moisturiser, primer and some face mist. Ensure your foundation is lightweight to get a natural glowy look, as opposed to a heavy base which may crack in this heat. We would opt for Armani’s Luminous Silk foundation in the right shade. For an added luminous glow, add a drop or two of Biossance rose oil to your foundation.
Once you’re done with your base, conceal your dark spots and under eyes the way you normally would. Follow that up by using an earthy hue from your makeup palette. We love MAC’s Eyes On palette! Apply a soft layer over your eyelids, with a darker shade in your crease. Once you’re happy with the look, line your eyelids using the Bobbi Brown eyeliner gel in brown or black. Brown allows for a softer more natural look, while black is a little more harsh. Get the line as thin and as close to your lash line as possible.
Follow that up with two coats of mascara to enhance your lashes. The thicker the layers, the bolder the look, so it’s for you to decide whether you want a more subtle natural look or a much bolder look. You’re almost done! Line your lips with a nude lip pencil, something as close as possible to your skin tone as possible. You can enhance your lip line, but ensure you don’t exaggerate your lip line too much. Fill your lips in with an earthy-hued lip colour, our preference is Kinda Sexy by MAC.
Now, no look is complete without some bronzer so use Benefit Cosmetics’ Hoola bronzer all over your face, contouring the features you need to. Add more to the apples of your cheeks, your forehead and neck and you’re all set to go! We think this look is a quick look that can be created in under 15 minutes and is the perfect everyday look you can try at home!
