A 48-page report based on responses from 60000 people across 23 cities in India, including Ahmedabad, Patna, Bangalore, Agra, Delhi-NCR, Ludhiana and Vishakhatpatnam among many others, has revealed the names of Bollywood’s most trusted celebrities, both male and female. Not surprising, megastar Amitabh Bachchan has bagged the top spot as Bollywood’s most trusted male celebrity, with Deepika Padukone securing first place amongst women. Titled TIARA Research Report on Celebrities as Human Brands, it was released by the Indian Cricket team coach Ravi Shastri and Indian Institute of Human Brands (IIHB) chief mentor Sandeep Goyal. Several other B-town A-listers also made the cut on the list.
Amitabh was voted as the most trusted male celebrity with a score of 88, followed by Akshay Kumar, whose numbers accumulated to 86.8. Deepika’s score was 82.8 while Anushka Sharma and her husband and ace cricketer Virat Kohli, were named the most trusted celebrity couple. TV star Kapil Sharma was listed as the most trusted celebrity on television with a score of 63.2 whereas Kajol topped the list of female celebrities on TV. MS Dhoni and Mithali Raj trumped the list of most trusted celebrities in sports.

Deepika and her star husband Ranveer Singh emerged victorious as the couple that India identifies with. The report names Ayushmann Khurrana as the celebrity India most identifies with while Vicky Kaushal and Riteish Deshmukh bagged the title in Bollywood and TV sections. Kareena Kapoor and Bharti Singh were named as female celebrities that India most identifies with on TV. Deepika was also named as India’s most glamorous starlet (60.3), closely followed by Priyanka Chopra (57.7). Ranbir Kapoor ranked third with a score of 52.4. Ayushmann and Mouni Roy were rated India’s most progressive celebrities in the male and female categories, respectively. The report is aimed at assisting advertisers in identifying with the celebrity that suits their requirements most.
