Taking to Instagram, Mahira Khan shared a vintage photograph of her dear mother to mark her special day. The tribute made by Mahira Khan to her mother is the sweetest thing we have seen all day. The post gives her fans an insight into her mother’s personality while revealing where she got her eyes from.
The picture was a vintage picture of her mother and it is evident where Mahira Khan has got all her looks from. She can be seen in an all natural bare-faced look and wearing a pair of pearl earrings. The photograph was accompanied with the caption, “Last night, at midnight we cut Ama’s cake. It was just the four of us (make it three, Aba couldn’t keep his eyes open). And as we sang for her, Ama sang the loudest for herself – ‘May I have many more, may I have many more dear. Happy birthday to me’.”
The Raees actor went on to add, “That basically sums her up,” revealing how her mother found joy in the simplest of things. “‘Tender mercies’ she calls them! She has taught me a lot, most of the time unknowingly.. but the most important thing I’ve learnt from her is to be hopeful and to have faith no matter what. She always says -‘Na umeed nahi hotay! Imaan hai toh mayoosi kaisi?’”
