The auspicious occasion of Eidul Azha is around the corner and many Muslims around the world are getting ready to mark the occasion. The annual Hajj is coming to an end, which will be followed by the sacrifice and the celebration of Eid around the world. It is a time for family and friends to gather together and celebrate, feast on a delectable meal, dress up and be merry. This time around, Eid might be a little different for many of us; owing to the coronavirus pandemic and it may be celebrated a little differently.
Whatever you’re going to be doing this Eid and however you plan to spend the occasion, you’re going to want to dress up because of course, you wouldn’t want to miss a photo opp! A summer dress
We’re in the midst of summer and Eid happens to fall on a hot weekend. Do away with the heavy outfits and opt for something easy and breezy! *Read, summer dress* A pretty, floor-length summer dress is the perfect way to up your style quotient this Eid. Opt for a pretty print that can be teamed with a pair of summer sandals and style it in your own way. Perhaps opt for a waist belt to accentuate your waist or throw on a linen jacket. If you opt for a printed dress, keep your accessories and makeup to a minimum. If however, you opt for a solid colour then you can play around with chunky jewellery and other accessories.
A printed skirt
A midi printed skirt can be both modest and stylish for an Eid being spent at home. There are a number of prints available in the market to choose from, so you can pick anything depending on your mood. Skirts are versatile and can be styled in a number of different ways. Team them with a pretty blouse, an embellished tee or even a ribbed top. If you’re opting for a printed skirt, ensure you keep the top half of your look plain and if you’re opting for a plain skirt then you can experiment with a printed or a floral top. Team your look with some delicate jewels and barely there makeup and you’ll be ready to make a statement this Eid.
Wide legged pants
If you want to steer clear of a desi look yet have something traditional about your look, then a pair of wide-legged pants is your best bet. A pair of wide-legged pants can be teamed with a top which you can tuck in, or alternatively a longer length one that can also give you the desi vibes without it actually being a desi look. Wide legged pants also hug the legs in all the right places and can also give you height. Better yet, team your wide-legged pants with a pair of your sparkly heels and you’ll definitely leave heads turning.
